That is correct, the cable comes out on the side of the table lamp.

Thanks for asking. Philips Hue bulbs are usually a bit longer than standard, but because this light is open to the top, that shouldn't be an issue.

Great service and very fast delivery, however the lights do not look as nice as the pictures depict. The cable comes from the side of the product, which has been edited out of the images, leading you to believe that it is hidden; however it is very much exposed and looks cheap.
